Hello, and welcome to the sneak peaks page, where you get sneak peaks from any book I'm writing, to dates of movie premieres to the new CHERUB book. So, lets kick off with that sneaky peak off Nuclear: Instinct death I promised you. read on to see it.
“Cock!” he screamed into his mask, as one of the aliens smashed through the glass with its long, hairy leg. The glass shattered, and Froster reached forwards and repeatedly smacked the button with the picture of a stickman standing next to the seat. The torso-shaped plate holding him in place took agonisingly long to release him. By the time he had jumped out of his seat, the Instincts had already clambered through the shattered windscreen and where both clicking there fangs, trying to get a hold of him. Froster himself was smacking the door, in an attempt to get back into the rooms with all the swords. The door burst open, and he ripped a sword from the rack and backed up, keeping a steady eye on the legs that surrounded the doorway.
A first Instinct came hurtling through the doorway, and made a beeline for Froster. Froster instinctively swung the sword, catching the alien full in the face. But it was made of tougher stuff, and backed up, ready to launch itself at Froster again. His heart pounding somewhere in the region of his Adam’s apple, the alien threw itself back at him. Froster span out of the way, before grabbing an arrow from a quiver on the rack of weapons he’d grabbed the sword from, and driving it into the Instinct’s back. It let out a desperate squeal and twisted around with frightening agility. Luckily, Froster had managed to trip over the second Instinct, and instead of the first one taking a chunk out of Froster's leg, it took a large bite of its colleague’s head. The second Instinct squealed in pain, partly because it had just had half its head carved out, and partly because Froster had rammed the sword up its arse. With blood spurting out of both ends of the alien, Froster reckoned it might be safer if he got well out of its way after seeing what had happened to Steve. Froster took the opportunity while the first alien had its fangs stuck in its dead companion’s head to bring the sword down on him. However, it managed to free itself milliseconds before Froster chopped the dead alien’s head off, which increased the amount of blood spurting out on to the floor, which Froster didn’t really want happening...
